Martian Meteorite Pendant with Diamond

Handcrafted in the US by Joshua Eisler, this stunning pendant is made from an authentic piece of Mars. Our Solar System occasionally delivers us gifts from other celestial bodies in the form of meteorites. On very special one-in-a-billion occasions, they are from our distant neighbor the planet Mars. 

Each handcrafted center stone is a totally unique one of a kind creation carved from a larger martian meteorite that was once part of the planet Mars. This Martian meteorite was approved in December of 2020 by the Meteoritical Society's Nomenclature Committee and given the official name Northwest Africa 13366 (NWA 13366).  It was ejected from the plant's surface by an ancient meteorite strike that sent pieces of the planet into space. A very small portion of that ejected material made it to Earth in the form of a martian meteorite. It cannot be overstated how rare this material is...far more rare than the diamond that so beautifully accents it.

Not all Martian meteorites are the same. NWA 13366 is a particularly special type of Martian meteorite called a peridotitic shergottite. It has was it known as a lherzolitic or poikilitic texture with large amounts of olivine, which is also known as peridot in its gem form, from which the classification of peridotitic is derived.
