Selling a Meteorite or Meteorite Collection?

Top Meteorite wants to buy your meteorite / meteorite collection, if the price is right. We can only consider classified meteorites, and most specifically new falls, large irons, and rare scientifically significant specimens.

Top Meteorite is a for profit business, so please understand we cannot pay retail prices for your meteorite or meteorite collection. If we are interested in purchasing your meteorite(s), Top Meteorite will offer a fare wholesale price that will allow us to cover our time and expenses, and make an equitable profit. For more information on how to get the ball rolling, use the email contact form at the bottom of this page to get in touch with us.

Consignment Vs. Sale

If you can afford to wait, and prefer to get top dollar for your meteorite(s), you may want to consider consignment. If your meteorite specimen(s) meet Top Meteorite's basic consignment requirements and you agree with our retail appraisal, we will gladly list your specimen(s) on our website and in our other marketing efforts.

A consignment fee of between 30% and 50% of the final sale price will be assessed (agreed on prior to listing) depending on the price-point and marketability of the item being consigned.

Classified Vs. Unclassified

We do not buy unclassified meteorites. We will only consider classified meteorites with an official name from the Meteoritical Society's Nomenclature Committee. If you aren't sure what you have, send us an email using the contact form below and we will walk you through the process of determining if your meteorite is classified and listed in the Meteoritical Bulletin.
